Daniel Loranz, 81, of Huntley, died peacefully August 30, 2026, at his home with his family by his side.
Daniel was born October 7, 1944, in Chicago, the son of Harry and Sophie (Bodiach) Loranz. On June 26, 1965, he married the love of his life, Janice Marie Fikert.
Dan was a hardworking and loyal man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He was an avid fisherman and always enjoyed a good beer, especially when he could share one with family or a new friend. Dan had an easy way with people and treasured the time spent with those he loved.
His greatest joy was his family, and he cherished every second he was able to spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dan is survived by his wife, Janice Loranz; his children, Daniel (Julie) Loranz, Deborah Loranz, and Steven (Christina) Loranz; his seven grandchildren, Samantha (Nicky), Stephanie (Cody), Francesca (Trevor), Helena, Rowan, Eva, and Teagan; and his eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Sophie Loranz; his sister, Lorraine Reyes; and his brother, Richard Loranz.
