Obituary

Barbara A. Lotter, 85 of Carpentersville passed away on Sunday evening, February 23, 2014 following a sudden illness.

She is born May 27, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Charles and Anna (Baumann) Morton. She was united in marriage to Howard C. Lotter on November 12, 1955. The couple made their home in Carpentersville and Barbara worked as a nurse at Children’s Memorial Hospital and later Sherman Hospital in Elgin. In retirement she spent her time helping at a riding stable where she enjoyed her passion of horses. She was a very caring and giving person to family and friends always placing others before herself.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Howard, her daughter, Anna Koehler of Huntley, her granddaughter, Brandy Koehler of Huntley. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Schmidt.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials in her name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Dear Howie and Anna Rose, Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss. Barb was such a huge part of my daily life when we worked for Dr. Kester. She was one in a million. I'm so sorry she's gone. God Bless!
