Obituary

David A. Voelker, 64 of Huntley formerly of Berkley, IL, went to be with the Lord peacefully on April 11, 2014.
Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00pm with a service at 7:oo pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL.
David was born August 8, 1949 the son of Marvin and Betty Voelker. He served as a Sgt in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Systems Engineer for the Discover Corporate Office. He married Carolyn Dunn on April 4, 2014 after their long time engagement. He was a proud Veteran, a member of the Huntley American Legion and also a member of the VFW. He loved Ribs from Patio, all Chicago sports and mostly spending time with his wife, Carolyn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Dunn-Voelker, his son, Daniel (Jolinta), Suzanne Voelker, mother of Daniel. His grandchildren, Abigail and Bethany, his brother, Dale (Eileen) Voelker and by his sister, Deborah (Scott) Jones. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Catherine Koranda, brother-in-law, Dan Dunn and by his and Carolyn’s nieces and nephews: Matthew (Jennifer) Parquette, Lisa Jarm, Brian, Katherine and Kristen Voelker, Kevin Jones and by Bernadette (Joe) Somenek and also by his great nieces Brianna and Genevieve Parquette. And by life long friend, David (Sandy) Palgen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister, Bonnie Parquette.

Carolyn, May God be with you and your family at this time. I had the pleasure of working with Dave at Sears. He was a friend and will be truly missed.
