Grandma, I really cannot believe that you're not here with us anymore. Your optimism, radiance, and love is like no other. I am at peace and I have comfort knowing that you are right beside Grandpa, you waited many many years for that. I now have two guardian angels. I found the piece of burlap that you kept that I learned to sew on. Mom said you couldn't part with it for that reason:) I didn't know you had kept it Grandma. I will always walk with your wisdom and your love in my heart. I love you more...

My deepest condolences to the entire family but especially to my dear friend Cathy. Cathy, despite her passing, your mother will always be your mother. She will live on the edge of your consciousness, ever present to guide you and comfort you. She will live into your heart, making you more extraordinary than you already are. You will continue to grow from her positive light and learn from the darkness of her limitations. At any rate, this has been my fortunate experience. What an amazing woman she has made of you; I am certain she left this life so very proud of her beautiful daughter. I will cherish remembering her with you. It goes without saying that I will be here for you for anything your need. Care for and be kind to yourself as you heal as your mother would want this. God will handle the rest.

Carol was a lovely person, and she and Fred were one of my parents' favorite family members. Carol, was part of the McCuen family and after Fred died, she remained in touch, and we were always happy to see her face at family gatherings. Strangely enough, after moving to Lewisburg Pa, one of the people I met was Kim Ritter, who was a great friend of my grandson Kent, who loved going into her store and seeing the animals. We decided we were second cousins, and that meant Kent and Kim were related, he loved that!!!!!! Rest in peace Carol. Love, Mary Ellen
