Obituary

Raymond J. Adolfson, Sr., 71 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away on Sunday morning, December 4, 2011 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin following a lengthy illness.
Raymond was born December 14, 1939 in Chicago the son of Ernest Gunnar and Elsie (Riebschlager) Adolfson.? He attended Agassiz Grade School and graduated from Cooley High School in Chicago.? Raymond was united in marriage to Margaret M. Kilzer on August 27, 1960.? He was employed at Commonwealth Edison for 30 years, retiring as a field supervisor in 1995.? Raymond loved his kids and grandkids, he enjoyed coffee, golf, bowling, fishing, spending time at the cabin in Missouri for many years and playing cards to appease his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Huntley, his children, Richard J. (Cindy) Adolfson of Franklin Park, Kristine M. (David) Hager of Bensenville & Raymond J. Adolfson, Jr. of Wisconsin, his grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob, Joseph, Robyn, Raymond Mark & Selena, his sisters, Betty Kania of Arkansas & Rosemary Miczak of Tennesse.? He was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald James, his parents, his mother and father-in-law, Joseph & Vivian Kilzer, his brother, Ernest, his sister-in-law, Lucille Kappa & brother-in-law, Edward Kania.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7th from 4:00 &ndash; 9:00 p.m. at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.? In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart or Lung Association. &#65279;
