Steve Salzinger, 95 of Huntley died peacefully, August 8, 2014.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, with visitation at Church from 9:00am till 10:00am. Private burial will be at Maryhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Journeycare Hospice of Barrington,IL
Steve was born August 26, 1918 in Torokbalint, Hungary. He served in the Hungary Army and married Maria Loschinger, in 1942. Steve worked as a silver smith.
He is survived by his daughter, Eva (Matt) Heidrich, by his grandchildren, Lesley Heidrich, James (Michelle) Heidrich and by his great grandchildren, William and Ethan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Hungary and in Germany.
Steve is preceded in death by his wife, Maria, his brother, Anton and sisters, Eva, Maria and Rosa.
