Lawrence Ferdinand Bieschke, 78 of Huntley and formerly of Wilmette, died peacefully at his home September 17, 2014 with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 4-8 pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home -10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am on Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Visitation will also be on Monday at St. MaryChurch from 9-10:00am. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Woman’s Center of Chicago or St. Mary’s St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Lawrence was born March 31, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. He attended St. George High School and later graduated from Loyola University. He married Veronica Rogers in 1964 in Dundalk, Ireland. He had a rewarding career in the safety profession, working for OSHA and Zenith. He was an active member of the Catholic Church both at St. Joseph of Wilmette, and St. Mary of Huntley as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus. Larry enjoyed traveling, he loved Ireland and the people. He was an avid fisherman. Larry’s love for fishing came from his father, Chester, a passion he passed on to his son and grandsons.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Veronica, his children, Andrew (Julie) Bieschke, Jane Marie (David) Kennedy, and his grandchildren, Devin, Nolan and Griffin Kennedy. He is also survived by his sisters, Judy Maaske, Peggy Clough, Linda Parell and by his brother, Kenneth Bieschke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Marjorie and brothers, Robert, James and Paul.
