Barry T. Rataiczyk, 44, of Crystal Lake, passed away on Tuesday evening, September 30, 2014 at Centegra Hospital in Woodstock from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
He was born November 21, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Virginia (Stoltz) Rataiczyk. He moved at an early age to Colorado and at age 14, returned to Chicago. He had been employed as a customer service representative for the Illinois EPA for many years. He especially enjoyed his children, they were his pride and joy. He loved to golf, ride his Harley, fish & bike.
He is survived by his children, Nicole and Kurtis Rataiczyk of Cary, his father, Thomas Rataiczyk, his mother, Virginia Rae Stoltz of Colorado, his grandmother, Virginia Stoltz of Huntley and his uncle and aunt, Raymond & Eleanor Rzewnicki and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Stoltz.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and on Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers, the family requests masses be given in his name.
