I really enjoyed sharing your son for a while when he lived with me in Harlingen, Texas. He was truly one of God's masterpieces, one heck of a young man. He blended right in with my family, and became another son to me as he was the same age as my kids. This is only a temporary situation...we will all be together one day. Let's begin to celebrate the incredible life of Dave and how he blessed us all! My love to your family and a big hug to Diesel, as he is part of my dog family, too!

Although I did not know David personally, I knew him well through his wonderful parents, Patty and Tom. Never has a son been more loved and adored. No doubt he felt that love every day. The Leonard family is a blessing to all who come to know them. I am so sorry for the loss of your precious child. Patty, I love you, my dear friend.

Dave- you have always known how to put the smile back on my face. You were the "Little Brother" whom I could confide in with anything.. your friendship, near and far, has meant the world to me, and I am very proud to say I had the pleasure of knowing you.. Your smile and carrying ways always touched my heart. Your friendship was golden. From you, I have taken with the lessons of having a little more patients, the belief that in time.. good will come, and a little chicken soup goes a long way :).. you left a great impression on everyone you met. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten..Be at peace.. For Tom, Patty, and Steve- you can be very proud of Dave..he will always be a great part of many of our lives. Take care of yourselves. You are in my thoughts..
