I am so sorry to hear about Bobs passing. Bob was like a second father to me. His sense of humor and way of teasing reminded me of my father, which made our friendship not only enjoyable but also very deep and close. Bob always had the warmest smile on his face, something funny to say and was always ready to go to breakfast or lunch or to catch up on life or solve the problems of the world. I am blessed and richer for knowing Bob and being a part of the Sylvester family. God speed Bob. We will miss you. Mark Rawski

Sorry to hear of Bobs passing. I worked with him at Motorola. We also spent many a pleasant hour on the golf course even when we both did not shoot well.

To Bob's family: My deepest condolences for your loss. I worked with Bob for many years at Motorola. Indeed, Bob loved the Packers. He and the guys had a lot of fun disputing who the better team was; the Packers or the Bears. When the Packers won, Bob was on top of the world. When they lost, especially to the Bears, he was cranky! He also loved the snack jar when it was permitted in the lab. His favorite was the candied orange slices. That was our "go to" when we needed him to see things our way; after all, he was the boss back then. Of course there were times when there was something in the jar he didn't like such as Chex Mix. He made sure we knew he didn't approve so we had to make adjustments accordingly. Bob will be missed. He was a very special man.

We are so sorry for your loss. Tim and I worked with Bob at Motorola for many, many years. He was a great guy and your are correct he made us laugh with his dry sense of humor. I had the pleasure of sitting next to Bob in the office for many years. He'd always crack me up especially when computers were introduced into our office. He had some not so nice things to say when the computers didn't do what he wanted them to do. After Bob's retirement he came back to our department to help us out and it was a pleasure to see him. We are so sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and paryers. Rest in peace Bob.

Learned of Bobs passing this morning from my old friend Dave Weglarz. Bob and Dave and I shared many projects, conversations, and lunches during the six years I worked with them at Motorola. Bob was my boss for four of those years and we spoke, joked, and thought together almost daily. He wore his heart on his face and in his voice, and it was always obvious when he was excited by a project, or thought it was a bore. He was a very good man, and his memory makes me smile. Kind, funny, thoughtful, loyal, and a fine friend. Rest easy, Bob. Your made a difference. And your work is done here...
