Gordon “Gordy” Young, 79 of Huntley, died peacefully November 11, 2014 with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Friday from 9-10:00 with a 10:00am Mass all at St. Mary Catholic Church- 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be private.
Gordon was born June 19, 1935. He served in the United States Army. In 1957 he married his wife, Janet . He was the first neighborhood in Sun City to establish a neighborhood watch, Gordy was also a member of the Sun City Softball team.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet, his children, Jeffrey (Ann) Young, Caryn (Todd) Golin and by his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Suzanne, Nicholas and Daniel. He is also survived by his brother, Clifford Young. He is preceded in death by his sister, Rita Palmer.
