Henry “Pat” Kearns, 81 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn following a short illness.

He was born January 25, 1933 in Paterson, New Jersey, the son of Henry Earl and Anne (Getgood) Kearns Sr. He graduated from St. Bonaventure University and enlisted in the United States Army & ROTC. He was united in marriage to Beverly A. Ruck on May 4, 1963 in New Britain, Connecticut. The couple raised their family in Connecticut and moved to Libertyville in 1984. Pat worked as a sales executive for Moore Business Forms for many years, retiring in the early 1990’s. In retirement they spent many years in Melbourne Beach, Florida. They returned to Illinois and moved to Huntley in 2007 to be close to family. He enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and was interested in their activities, he was an avid golfer, and reader, loved American history, and enjoyed walking and his retirement. Mostly he loved his family, loved his friends and loved his country.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Huntley, his son, Brian Kearns of Evanston, his daughter, Bethanne (Brian) Wilson of South Elgin and his grandchildren, Brooke, Jillian & Benjamin Wilson, Owen & Griffin Kearns. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia McLain.

Friends may call on Saturday, December 6th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. all at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
