Manuel “Manny” Garcia, 63 of Huntley, passed away on Friday evening, December 12, 2014 at St. Alexius Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 4, 1951 in McAllen, Texas, the son of Manuel and Maria (Villarreal) Garcia. He was raised in Chicago and attended Lakeview High School. He then enlisted and served his country in the United States Navy. On August 3, 1975, he was united in marriage to Roxanne A Ruhland. He worked as an industrial mechanic for many years in the manufacturing business. In 2006 they moved to Huntley and Manny drove a school bus for Carpentersville District 300 for a time. He liked computers, playing cards, Keno, but mostly time with his family and wife.
He is survived by his wife, Roxy of Huntley, his brother, Bob (Linda) Garcia of Gilberts, his sister, Nazzereen Reeves of Atlanta, his brother-in-law’s, Ray Ruhland & Rich (Kathy) Ruhland all of Chicago and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 16th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.

I am very sorry to hear of Mannys passing. I only knew him for a short time and always was a very nice person. I am a long time friend of Roxanne and my deepest sympathy to you and your family.
