Obituary

Alphonso “Al” Angelucci, 89 of Huntley died peacefully January 3, 2015 at home with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church -10307 Dundee Road , Huntley. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Shriners Children Hospital.
Al was born August 30, 1925 in Cicero, Illinois the son of Peter and Anna (Morosco) Angelucci. He served in the United States Navy. He worked as and Electrician for Local 701 until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edna, his three daughters, Pam (Larry) Christensen, Barb (Tom) Briggs, and Lynnette (Paul) Kutella, by his grandchildren, Michael (Sarah), Sarah (Ryan), Matthew (Lannan), Kristin (Doug), Lauren (Mark), Nathan (Ashley) and Nicholas and by his 13 great grandchildren, Lukki, Jordan, Mikela, Noah, Lily, Braden, Elijah, Finleigh, Madelyn, Olive, Kieran, Emma and Ezra. He is also survived by his brothers, Frank (Karen) Angelucci, Mario (Maryellen) Angelucci and by his sister Julia Smith.
