David C. Sibenaller, 67 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin following a lengthy illness.
He was born October 18, 1947 in Chicago, the son of Ronald A. and Elaine (Gjonola) Sibenaller Sr. He was drafted into the United States Army, served in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. He worked as a sheet metal worker most of his life and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 73. He was known and as “Davey Duck”, was a great artist, loved to cook, loved donuts and his friends and took very good care of his mother. He had a special place in his heart for his 1937 Ford Coupe, enjoyed car shows and took great pride in his home.
He is survived by his mother, Elaine Sibenaller of Huntley, his sisters, Diane (Sam) Saia, Sr. of Huntley, Gloria Sibenaller of Schaumburg and Gail (Roberta) Sibenaller-Menna of Chicago, also several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27th with a 7:00 p.m. Sharing of Memories all at DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Entombment with military honors will be at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 28th at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights.
