Edward M. Pasdiora, Sr., 89 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away on February 27, 2015 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 25, 1925 in Chicago, the son of Victor and Barbara (Bouland) Pasdiora. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was united in marriage to Margaret Barry on September 3, 1954 in Chicago. The couple made their home in Westchester where they raised their family. He worked as an auditor for Oscar Meyer for over 38 years, retiring in the late 1980’s. In 2002 they moved to Huntley. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, served as an usher at St. Mary’s and enjoyed bowling and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Edward M. (Eileen) Pasdiora of Antioch, Patrick (Lois) Pasdiora of Bartlett, Maureen (Mark) Wayne of Lombard, Bob (Eileen) Pasdiora of Streamwood and Barbara (Doug) Pantle of Long Grove, his grandchildren, Alison, Erin, Kaitlin, Cortney, Sean, Samantha, Sarah, Jenna, Ashley & Justin and his sister, Sr. Marion Pasdiora of Dubuque, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, grandson, Christopher and his brothers, Raymond, Victor, Robert & Larry.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and on Wednesday ,from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass both at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
