Louise A. Campagna, 85 of Huntley, passed away at her home in Heritage Woods on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
She was born December 12, 1929 in Chicago, the daughter of Michael and Sophia (Jacobucci) Zito. She grew up and was educated in Chicago where she was active in sports. She was united in marriage to Joseph C. Campagna on May 5, 1951. The couple made their home in North Riverside, where they raised their family. In the early 1980’s they retired to St. Petersburg, Florida and made their home there for 30 years. In 2012 they returned to Illinois to be close to family. Louise enjoyed golf and music and had a tremendous sense of humor.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Ray) Caprio of Huntley, her son, Joe (Sherry) Campagna of Clarendon Hills, her grandchildren, Sarah & Raymond and her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Eve & Beau. She was preceded in death by her husband in December of 2014.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be later in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Hillside.
