Kathleen “Kathy” M. Kowalski, 66 of Huntley, passed away on Saturday morning, May 9, 2015 following a lengthy illness.
She was born January 8, 1949 in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Mary Kate (McDonnell) Monaghan. She was united in marriage to Frank Kowalski on August 30, 1969 in Chicago. They lived for a short time in Chicago, but have spent the last 40 years calling Huntley home. She had shown dogs, mainly Irish Setters, Cocker Spaniels & Standard Poodles for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Frank of Huntley, her son, Frank Jr., (Nancy) Kowalski of Crystal Lake, her granddaughters, Tonya & Katrina, her sister, Sarah (James) Krown of Florida, her niece, Mary Leson and her nephews, Michael & Thomas Krown. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward, her mother, Mary Kate and her father, Edward.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 12th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
