Leona Mae Vistine, 83 of Huntley died peacefully, May 19, 2015.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church- 10307 Dundee Road Huntley. Visitation will be 4-8pm on Wednesday at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Leona was born March 5, 1932 in Oak Park, Illinois the daughter of Leo and Lillian Osowski. On May 9, 1953 she married John J. Vistine. Leona’s greatest joy in life was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. With that came a love of baking, quilting, singing both in the Church choir and as a Cantor. All of her love and devotion will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Vistine, her three daughters, Nancy (Bruce) Kaufman, Sharon (Lou) Martino, and Janet (Kevin) Wixted. She is survived by her 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and two sisters, Diane (Jon) Reed and Joyce Blaszak and by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
