I'm so glad I had the chance to visit with Jon at our 50th high school reunion. After half a century we could still laugh and joke about the same things. My thoughts and prayers go out to all Jon's family and loved ones.

When someone passes away that you knew when you were young, it has a special meaning. We all used to think that 70 was old. Now that we are 70, it doesnt seem so old. Jon was taken at a young age and he will be greatly missed.

Jon Schuler was a classmate I didnt know too well But I enjoyed his smile and wit And the stories he would tell. I sent him funny things Mixed in with serious stuff To help his mind let him escape When life was getting rough. He fought the battle long and hard Hoping he would win To spend more time with all of us His Family and his Friends. But time came for him to leave us And join those whove gone before Still, I think it was way to soon For his Dad to expect him at the door.
