Mary Frances Bertoli, 60 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Monday evening, June 22, 2015.
She was born April 9, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter Frank J. and Pauline E. (Foss) Bertoli. She grew up in Schaumburg and graduated from Conant High School. She raised her children in Schaumburg. Later, her love for criminal justice brought her back to Chicago where she worked as a Rosemont Auxiliary Officer, leading her to pursue a career in law enforcement. She worked eighteen years with the Cook County Correctional Office, retiring in 2008. After moving to Huntley to care for family, she obtained her CDL license so she could “hit the road.” She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and her dogs, Schultz, Helga & Klink. Mary was a very giving person who had a big heart and enjoyed helping others.
She is survived by her children, Kelly (Robby) Boulos-Kruczek of Algonquin & Kevin (Eileen) Boulos of Prospect Heights, her grandchildren, Milena, Gianni & Lucca, her mother, Pauline Bertoli of Huntley and her sister, Maureen Gardner of Crystal Lake.
A memorial gathering will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10703 Dundee Road, Huntley on Saturday, June 27th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. funeral mass. Inurnment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Huntley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
