Obituary

Stanley J. Prosniewski, 77 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away Thursday evening, September 10, 2015 at Journeycare Hospice in Woodstock following a lengthy illness.

He was born and raised in Chicago and was a proud graduate of Weber Catholic High School. Following college Stan was drafted into the army and was stationed in Germany; where he met his future wife, Heidi C. Fengler. They were married on July 21, 1964 in Heidelberg, Germany. The couple made their home for a few years in Chicago then Crystal Lake. Stan was an Allstate Insurance Agent for 30 years, retiring in 2000. In 2006 they moved to Sun City, Huntley and he was active in bowling, golf and fishing. He enjoyed time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Heidi of Huntley, his sons, Stan Prosniewski of South Haven, Michigan, Steve (Kim) Prosniewski of Winnetka and Rob Prosniewski of Naperville, his grandchildren, Alexa, Brianna, Courtney, Haley, Spencer & Madeline, his sister, Carole (Ray) McKenzie of Burlington, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Journeycare Hospice – Woodstock.

Stan I were friends since High School. I Was glad that I was able to visit with him when I was in Chicago for a visit. Harry Fehsenfeld, Larry Kosina, I went to visit Stan spent the time sharing old memories. I will keep him in my prayers. I wish Heidi and all of the family the best as they go through this hard time.

I met Stan when he joined our bowling league. He has so many stories to tell and I loved hearing them. We will miss him but never forget the moments we shared with Heidi and Stan. You will be in my prayers.

Our Deepest condolences to the Prosniewski Family. Remembering Stan playing Bocce ball for our Sun City Bocce Club and having lots of fun. He will be greatly missed by many friends. May he rest in peace with our Lord in Heaven.
