Obituary

Carol A. Ledvina, 74 of Sun City, Huntley passed away at her home on Sunday, October 18, 2015 following a lengthy illness.

She was born February 9, 1941 in Chicago, the daughter of Eugene and Clara (Kupski) Kaczmarek. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Bridgeport. She was united in marriage to Thomas M. Ledvina on December 20, 1958. The couple made their home in Chicago where she worked for the City of Chicago and later the Chicago Rehabilitation Institute. Following her retirement in 1994 the couple moved to Lockport and then in 2010 moved to Huntley. Carol enjoyed being outdoors, trimming, edging, doing yard work and caring for her flowers. She especially enjoyed helping others.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Thomas of Huntley and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley on Saturday, October 31st from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the 1:30 p.m. Funeral Mass.

Carol brightened our lives. She was always a joy to be near. After first meeting her and Tom it was as if we had known them all of our lives. We are so sorry for her loss.
