Theresa “Terry” Berauer, 55, of Gilberts, IL, died peacefully on January 30, 2012, in her home, surrounded by her family.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 2ndat 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Terry was born September 17, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Halina (Ratajczak) Franczak. She was married to John B. Berauer on April 1, 1978. She worked at Motorola for 4 years before retiring in 1984. Her biggest passion in life were her two children, John-Paul and Jessicalina. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, playing cards, scratch-off lottery tickets, and watching the Chicago Bulls. As unselfishly as Terry lived her life, she chose to have her body donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois to support medical research, training and professional education. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Terry is survived by her loving husband, John, her son John-Paul Berauer and her daughter Jessicalina Maria Berauer, all of Gilberts; her mother and step-father, Halina and Gene Reszczynski of Huntley; and her sisters, Christine (Tom) French of Carpentersville and Donna (Ruben) Magsaysay of Gilberts; her nieces and nephews Michelle, Michael, Theresa, Ramona, and Melanie; and her cousins Victor, Ramona, Angela, and Dennis.
