Dolores “Dee” Pedersen, 81 of Huntley died peacefully, December 1, 2015.
Visitation will be on Friday from 3-8pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. There will also be visitation on Saturday from 9:00am until the funeral service at 10:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Boster officiating. Burial will be in Lithuanian National Cemetery in Justice, Illinois. Memorials may be directed to Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church. Huntley, Illinois.
Dee was born September 29, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Adolph and Emily Pazarskas. She married Ralph Gordon Pedersen on May 12, 1956. She was a homemaker and later in life worked for a local neighborhood newspaper and then for Le Pelusa Home Improvement Co. until she moved to Huntley in 2001. Dee was a member of Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, a member of the Prairie Singers, and the Merry Widows. Dee loved singing, traveling the world, being a dog owner and feeding the birds.
She is survived by her children: Cynthia A. (Kenneth) Blezien, Clifford A. Pedersen ( Scott Permentier), Gregory N.(Marnie) Pedersen. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kimberly (Philip) Swarbrick, Jeffrey Blezien, Emily Pedersen and Justin Pedersen and great granddaughter, Nora Swarbrick. Dee is also survived by her spouse, Kenneth Pohlmann.
She is preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Ralph.
