Obituary

Regina A. Gately, 74 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 1st, following a short illness.
She was born December 20, 1937 in Chicago, the daughter of Arthur L. and Regina M. (Spellman) Gately.? She received her Master&rsquo;s in Nursing Administration from DePaul University and had been a nurse for many years at Ravenswood Hospital.? She ran Tiara Tea Society, was a member of Dirty Bingo, active in the Celtic Club and wrote and directed mystery dinner plays.
Regina is survived by her brother, James A. (Linda) Gately of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin, her nephews, James (Geri) Gately of Arlington Heights and Arthur L. (Julie) Gately of Skokie, her grandnieces and nephew, Jimmy, Ashley, Tiffany & Rachel.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.? Burial will take place at a later date in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.? In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred.?

Regina was a wonderful neighbor and friend. She was especially generous to our twin grandchildren when they were born two and a half years ago. A dog lover . . . she adopted 2 dogs after her beloved Misty passed on. She will be missed by many.

Dear Regina, Today your friends shared so many interesting and wonderful stories about you.Many i did not know about until today. I remember the times we spent in the Sun City Flyers club, the Red Hatters, and the belly dancing classes.You will be missed by so many, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.Thanks for the memories, Until we meet again. I will miss you Regina and am sorry we will not meet this Spring as planned. We had such a great time our last visit.
