Melodee K. Disbrow, 79 of Huntley, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 13, 2015 following a short battle with cancer.
She was born October 10, 1936 in Chicago, the daughter of Dennis and Fay (McNamara) O’Connor. She grew up in Chicago and later Barrington, graduating from Barrington High School. She attended St. Mary’s College. On January 5, 1962 she was united in marriage to Arthur L. Disbrow, the couple made their home in Hanover Park. Melodee worked at Technical Publishing in Barrington for many years until retiring. She was a very active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Streamwood, volunteering and coordinating many different programs in the parish. She moved to Huntley in 2014.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Kimberly) Disbrow of Lincolnshire, Steven (Christen) Disbrow of Plainfield and Thomas Disbrow of St. Charles, her grandchildren, Audrey, Branden & Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur and brother, Jerry.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 502 S. Park Blvd., Streamwood. A memorial luncheon will follow at Villa Olivia, 1401 W. Lake Street, Bartlett.

To Michael, Steven, and Thomas Your Mom my Aunt Mel brought so much happiness and cheer to everyone she knew. Always caring and supportive. So many fond memories filled with love and laughter from past family gatherings of which I will truly miss, and never forget!
