Heinz Windhauser, 86, of Huntley, died peacefully December 18, 2015
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Tuesday, at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Visitation will be at Church on Tuesday from 9-10:00am. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association for Research.
Heinz was born April 10, 1929 in Treis, Germany, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth. In 1956 Heinz came to the United States. In Chicago he met Marianne Humme and then they married on May 3, 1958. Heinz and Marianne owned and operated their family Landscaping business until his retirement. He and Marianne moved to Huntley in 2002. Heinz was devoted to his family and enjoyed nature and outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne, his children; Carolyn (Ted) Hess, Michael (Kimberly) Windhauser and Tom (Michelle) Windhauser, his grandchildren; Tess, Briar, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Michael Jr., Morgan, Matthew and Ryan; his sister Maria (Walter) Hullen and a brother-in-law, Hank (Pat) Humme and by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Heinz Jr., and by his sister, Hermine.
