Louis M. Yanke, 60 of West Chicago, passed away on Friday morning, February 19, 2016 following a lengthy illness.
He was born December 10, 1955 in Chicago the son of Robert and Sue Ann (Stark) Yanke. He was united in marriage to Vicki Wiaczkis in 1973 and Louis started in the tool and die business. He later married Judy Musial in 1980. The couple made their home in Carol Stream where they raised their family. He owned and operated Omni Machine Company in Lombard for over 40 years, retiring in 2008. He had a passion for his 1969 Chevelle and enjoyed entering it in area car shows. Lou also had a passion for music, he played the drums and was in a band in his early years.
He is survived by his children, Mark Yanke of McHenry, Candice Yanke of St. Charles, Phillip Yanke of Elgin and Kenneth Yanke of Hoffman Estates, his grandchildren, Ashley and Jacob and his mother, Sue Floden of Huntley.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24th with visitation after 9:00 a.m. all at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. For more information please call 847-515-8772. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls.
