Ronald W. Fucela, 83 of Huntley, died peacefully February 23, 2016
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1:00pm at St. Mary Church in Huntley. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to one’s favorite charity.
Ronald was born January 28, 1933 in Chicago, IL, the son of John and Anna Fucela. He served in the United States Army. On September 10, 1955 he married Lois Kuhlmann. Ronald worked for Abbott Laboratories until his retirerment.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois, his 5 children, Patrick (Sharon) Fucela, Maureen Guardi, Nancy (Richard) Calkins, Kevin (Elizabeth) Fucela, and Susan (Geoff) Ruther, by his 10 grandchildren, Robbie, Joey, Jessica, Adam, Steven, Shannon, Danielle, Cassandra, Maggie and Michael and one great grandson, Reid. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Gallagher. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Paul.
