Obituary

Darlene K. Fisher, 75 of Oswego passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born June 7, 1940 in Pontiac, Michigan the daughter of James P. and Isabel Ruth (Lidgey) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Michigan, graduating from Birmingham High School. She lived many years in Troy and Royal Oak where she raised her family. In the early 1980’s she moved to Illinois and worked in accounting for GBC in North Brook and later the Fremont Public Library in Mundelein. She especially enjoyed time with her family, shopping, reading and playing Mahjong.

She is survived by her sons, Mark (Nicki) Fisher of Huntley, Timothy Fisher of North Aurora and Michael Fisher of Oswego, her grandchildren, Timothy, Christopher (Mary), Jamie, Paige, Anthony, Zachary and Kyle and her great-granddaughter, Emily, her brothers, Dan (Alice) Johnson and Larry (Sharon) Johnson all of Leesburg, Florida, 4 nephews, 3 nieces, 5 great nieces, 4 great nephews and 2 great great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. funeral service on Monday, February 29th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5th in White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation
