Obituary

Thomas J. Kelly, 83 of Huntley, died peacefully March 25, 2016.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home – 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church -10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Thomas was born October 11, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the son and only child of Matthew and Doris Kelly. On August 8, 1959 he married Elaine M. Klinkenberg.
He was a graduate of St. Rita of Cascia High School, Chicago, IL and of Saint Mary’s College in Winona, MN. Tom played football and baseball his 4 years at Saint Mary’s and graduated with a B.S.S. degree in 1954. A successful career in logistics followed, including his own business, Emerald Air Freight.
Tom valued his free time and had a variety of hobbies. He was an avid handball player and enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, gardening and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine, his two sons, James (Becky) Kelly, and Daniel (Paula) Kelly, and by his grandchildren, Chad, Megan and Amanda Kelly. Tom is preceded in death by his parents.

My family I are saddened to hear of your loss. Its refreshing to read that she had deep beliefs in God. One my families favorite and comforting verses from Gods Word is Revelation 214,5 which speaks of the promise that God will wipe tears from our eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore ...
