Maria Drzensky, 83 of McHenry, formerly of Addison, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 following a lengthy illness.
She was born January 12, 1933 in Germany, the daughter of Paul and Maria Heckel. She moved to the United States in the 1950’s and was united in marriage to Helmut Drzensky. The couple made their home in Addison where they raised their family.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita (Michael) Kozel of Woodstock, her grandchildren, Nickolas Whittington, Stephanie Tancl, Thomas and Matthew Kozel, her great-grandchildren, Jacob Whittington, Dakota Gregg and Colton Tancl and her brothers and sisters, Karl, Ericka, Hans & Magdelena. She was preceded in death by her husband, Helmut, son, Karl and her brothers and sisters, Walburger, Reinhard, Paul, Alice and Elizabeth.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1st with a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Maria Drzensky family. She was a wonderful lady and I enjoyed my few years of knowing her. I apologize for not being able to attend the visitation and funeral. Please take care of yourselves and God Bless.
