Paul R. Stromberg, 76 of Huntley died, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
A funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to American Heart Association.
Paul Robert Stromberg was born February 21, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Paul and Evelyn (Johnson) Stromberg. He married Elizabeth Sciackitano October 15, 1963. She preceded him in death. He served in the United States Navy. Paul was a Chicago Union Painter for over 42 years. He was a member of the Des Plaines Elks, American Legion and St. Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed all sports and activities with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Carrie Pass of Elk Grove Village, IL, Paul Stromberg, Fiance, Liz Frankenfield and her daughter, Julianna. He is survived by his grandchildren, Kyle, Brittney and John. His sister, Theresa (Jackson) Burgess, many nieces and nephews and by special friend, Geri Farrell.
