Scott H. Denman, 60 of Woodstock, passed away, unexpectedly on April 17, 2016.
Scott was born February 28, 1956 in Syracuse, NY the son of Raymond and Elizabeth(Myers) Denman. He graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt High School in 1974. He moved from Jamesville, NY to Woodstock in 1980. On October 6, 1984 he married Denise Marie Gahl. Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from The DeVry Institute of Technology in February of 1989. Upon completion he began his career with Linde LLC as an Application Technician in the Project Execution Group and was there for 27 years.
Scott was a God fearing man who loved to travel, he loved sports. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Denise, his three sons, Caleb (Samantha), Luke, and Aaron, and his two puppies Bailey and Sophie. By his sisters, Patty Van De Walker, Debbie (David) Grisenthwaite, his sister-in-law Dee Denman, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his father-in-law Harold Gahl, brother-in-law Dan Gahl, sister-in-law Dana (Ben) Harper, and their children Savannah, Sage, and Kaden. Scott is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Raymond.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 23 at the Woodstock Assembly of God Church-1201 Dean Street in Woodstock from 9-11am. A memorial service will follow. Pastor David Cooper will officiate. Burial will follow at the Union Cemetery, Union, IL. Memorials may be given to the family which will be designated at a later date.
