Barbara J. Mangan, 71 of Huntley, died peacefully, April 26, 2016 with her family by her side.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, with visitation at Church one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Mary/ St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Barbara was born May 14, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Heaney) Artman. On January 26, 1974 she married Dan Mangan. Barb was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the ultimate grandmother and caretaker, always caring for others.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Mangan, her children, Dan (Liz) Mangan, Mike (Clare) Mangan, Marty (Michelle) Mangan and Cathy (Shane) Jones, by her grandchildren: Danny, Ronan, Ava, Maya, Gianna, Carson, Finn and Declan. By her brothers and sisters, Mary (Ernie) Faith, Tim (Debbie) Artman, Nancy (Gil) Brindley and Marge (John) Burke and also by her brother and sister-in-laws, Ed (MaryLou) Mangan, and Mel Mangan. Barb was also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ricky, Dan and Bob and sister-in-law, Shari Mangan
