Timothy R. Butcher, 45, of Huntley, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, May 6, 2016.
He was born August 22, 1970 in Aledo, Illinois, the son of Donald W. and Joyce E. (Jones) Butcher. He was raised and educated in Aledo, graduating from Aledo High School in 1988. He enlisted in the United States Army and served for three years before transferring to the Army National Guard. He then graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. He was united in marriage to Anne K. Yuen on May 25, 2002 in Barrington. The couple made their home in Wheaton and later Blaine, Minnesota, before moving to Huntley in 2008. Tim was employed at Wells Fargo Advisors in Woodstock. He enjoyed golf, skiing, coaching his children’s baseball, basketball and softball teams and had been involved with the stewardship and men’s ministries at Willow Creek Community Church as well as mission trips through various faith based organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Anne, his son, Tyler and his daughter, Reagan all of Huntley, his father, Don Butcher of Aledo, his brothers, Jeff (Carol) Butcher of Aledo and Ron (Lisa) Butcher of Eldridge, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services were held at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation in Huntley. Memorials in Tim’s name can be made to World Vision, http://mycause.worldvision.org/campaign/timothybutcher
