Thomas Leroy Horn, II 92, died peacefully, June 9, 2016 at Journeycare Hospice in Woodstock.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A reception will immediately follow to remember a life well-lived.
Thomas was born April 2, 1924 the son of Thomas L. and Mae (Nelson) Horn. He served in the United States Airforce during World War II. He married his wife and the love of his life, Carmen Holcomb, who he traveled the world with, together they shared many amazing adventures. He worked as an Executive for United Airlines until his retirement in 1981. Tom, a graduate of Michigan State University, was a Mason, a private pilot and a passionate sailor.
He is survived by his daughter Nancy Ann Horn-Hoffman (husband Mark) and his son Thomas Daniel Horn (wife Kathleen) and by his 6 grandchildren, Melissa, Bethany, Michael, Kathryn, Karen and Elizabeth and great grandchildren, Caleb, Lukas, Gabriella, Nikolas, Zachary, Eliza, Matthew, Ashlyn and Colbie.
He is preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Carmen.
