I am still in shock to learn that my great friend of 37 years is gone. I am devastated that I didn't say good bye to him. I am saddened that we didn't spend as much time together the last couple of years as we should have. My condolences to the entire Wilmot Family.

John, You were never my brother in law - you were always my brother. I have known you since you were 14 years old. We had the most crazy fun through the years. But if I had to pick one thing I am going to cherish and remember about you and there are so many awesome memories, it would be how you were as an incredible uncle to Christopher and David. They loved you beyond words. All the times you, they, and Thomas spent together playing WWF is just the beginning of what is going to make me smile and get through this. I loved our friendship. We will always laugh at the name calling of WT you would say to those who deserved it. John, I could spend all day writing about what I am going to miss about you. Memories of skiing, Lake Tahoe, and just being together at a party. It simply comes down to this Cheeks, You were simply the BEST and One of a Kind. Be at peace and hold your moms hand. Love you Cheeks....

Sorry to hear the passing of John and now his Mother... John was a Groomsman in my wedding to his longtime friend Jim Bogacz. He was a really nice man and a wonderful friend to Jim... May he rest in peace and hold his moms hand as they both go on to their next journey together.
