Concepcion “Connie” Urbina, 77 of Huntley, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 4th at her home in Huntley. Born December 2, 1934 in Mexico, she moved with her family to Texas at an early age. The family then moved to Illinois and she worked as a waitress for a number of different places in the Chicago area. She retired in the early 1990’s. Her family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. She liked to travel when she had the chance and enjoyed movies, birds and her dog, Mozart.
Connie is survived by her children, Art (Michele) Curtis of Third Lake, Nina (Keith) Ryan of Elgin, Linda (Tom) Lindsley of West Dundee and Ricardo (Sherry) Ponce of Gilberts, 16 grandchildren, her brother, Raul (Evelyn) Urbina of Elk Grove Village and her sisters, Fannie Urbina of Huntley and Mary Ann (Michael) Dickerson of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sylvia and her sister, Faye.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6th and a funeral service will be held Saturday April 7th at 10:00 a.m. at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will take place later at MaryHill Cemetery, Niles.
