Lawrence P. Nastala, 83, of Huntley, passed away on Friday morning, October 21, 2016 at Journeycare in Woodstock following a short illness.
He was born March 27, 1933 in Dunham, Kentucky, the son of Tony and Pauline (Krzak) Nastala. He enlisted in the United States Army and served as a Corporal. He was united in marriage to Sharon M. Rockey on September 3, 1955. Larry worked as an electrical engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Huntley, his sons, Gary Nastala of Hoffman Estates and Dale (Lorri) Nastala of Milton, Wisconsin, his daughter, Denise (George T.) Bonin of South Bend, Indiana, his grandchildren, George, Brian, Steven, Brett and Shelby, his great-grandchildren, Nadia, Natalie, Isla, Cameron, Pedro, Arthur & Laiyah, his sister, Louise (Tom) Cannizzo of Huntley and his nephews, Michael and Russell Cannizzo. He was preceded in death by his brother, John.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27th and the family will greet friends after 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Inurnment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Journeycare Foundation or the American Heart Association.
