Stanley G. Wendt, 74 of Huntley, passed away on Friday morning, October 21, 2016 following a sudden illness.
He was born February 19, 1942 in Chicago, the son of Felix and Rose (Redmerski) Wendt. He grew up in Franklin Park and graduated East Leyden High School. He was united in marriage to Margaret M. Ryan on May 13, 1967 in North Lake. Stan worked for Chicago Powdered Metal in Schiller Park for over 47 years retiring in 2008 as the plant manager. He loved model trains, antique cars and Route 66, he had a good sense of humor, was a good provider and was loved by many.
He is survived his wife, Margie, his daughter, Lisa (Tim) Powers all of Huntley, his son, Dan Wendt of Woodridge, his granddaughter, Kelcei Alicea, his brother, Felix (Barbara) Wendt and many family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. and the family will greet friends after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
