Juan Ocasio, 87 of Huntley, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.
He was born August 27, 1929 in Puerto Rico, the son of Polo and Vincenta (Gonzalez) Ocasio. At 18 he moved with his family to the United States, first New York and later Chicago. He was introduced to Jessie M. Walden and the couple became lifelong partners. The couple moved to Huntley in 1986 and Juan continued his employment with Union Special until retiring in 1992 after 27 years of service. Juan was devoted to his family and especially loved fishing and the outdoors.
He is survived by his son, Juan (Dana) Ocasio Jr., of Huntley, his daughter, Wanda (Cliff) Colpitts of Canada, his grandchildren, Robert Castillo, Juan Quinones, Geraldo Quinones, Tamica (Gordon) Roscher, Nicholas and Ryan Colpitts, his great-grandchildren, Teresa, Tina, Junior, Kat, Savi and Gordon.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 5th and the family will greet friends after 9:00 a.m. at DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
