Judy P. Klostermann, 72 of Huntley, passed away on Thursday morning, November 10, 2016 at Centegra Hospital in Huntley following a brief illness.
She was born November 2, 1944 in Harvard, Illinois, the daughter of Frank J. and Ruth (Preston) Raeder. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in 1966 from the University of Colorado. She was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Klostermann on September 10, 1966 in Harvard. She was a proud Navy wife, who could make home anywhere and did just that through multiple moves from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii to Reno to Battle Creek, Michigan. She enjoyed golf, bowling, was a voracious reader and was known for her chocolate chip cookies.
She is survived by her husband, Ken of Huntley, her son, Christopher (Lisa) Klostermann of Hiawatha, Iowa, her daughter, Elizabeth Jo Klostermann of Downers Grove, her grandchildren, Allison & Ethan and her brother, John (Eleanor) Preston Raeder of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and on Tuesday, November 15th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
