I happened to be up this morning and saw this. I'm heartbroken. John was one of the biggest influences on my life as a teenager. My dad passed when I was 15, and he was right there to help me along and grow. He was kind, compassionate, caring and firm. He'd let me know when I was messing up. But he was always encouraging and helpful. I really enjoyed it when he and his family would come back to Colorado and visit. My heart goes out to Diane, John Jr., Mike and the rest of his family.
My deepest condolences to the Alesch family. I first met John 31 years ago as we attended the Boys Girls Clubs of America Management Program together. My firstborn arrived just prior and John was among those named an honorary godparent. In the years that followed, we contnued on to decades of service improving the lives of children As our career paths led to increasingly responsible appointments with the national organization. In those many years, John was a treasured colleague and friend ever a childless straight shooter and team player. You will be missed my friend.
John left a legacy within the Boys Girls Club Movement. I am very grateful to have had his support as a new Executive two years ago. He was a valuable mentor, and I have grown in the position because of his support. I will miss John and will think about him often while I continue to lead our local Club with the dedication and commitment that John had.
John was a truly dedicated and inspiring professional man. It was my pleasure to have worked with him in the Boys & Girls Club movement. My thoughts and prayers to his family that they will hold close the memories, the love and that they will feel enveloped by the outpouring of support and care we all within the Boys & Girls Club family offer them.
Having known and worked with John for many years I know the legacy he leaves behind. My family sends our sincere condolences to all of his family we understand how difficult a time this is for you. As young professionals we used to compare the development of our boys as they grew up; they achievements and interests. John was true to his commitment to his family and a leader of our movement he leaves a void that will be hard to fill.
The Staff and Board of Directors of the Boys Girls Clubs of St. Charles County extend our deepest sympathy to Mr. Aleschs family. We looked forward to every visit he made to our Club. He answered our questions, he expressed great interest in our growth and he provided enormous support in helping the Club achieve its goals. John will truly be missed by many whether it be in the Boys Girls Club circle or in his personal life. He was truly a mentor and friend.
My deepest condolences for the entire Alesch family. John was an amazing person, kind and gentle spirit with such wisdom which he was willing to share to ultimately change the lives of thousands of children. I am grateful personally for the influence he had on my professional life. My heart breaks for such a loss. Prayers.
John was truly a blessing to us all. There is no way to put a price on his contributions to the profession or the youth of our country. I am so grateful to have known him. With deepest respect and prayers for his family~
