Edmond F. Mailhiot, 89 of Crystal Lake, formerly of Mt. Prospect, passed away on Monday morning, December 26, 2016 at Bickford Assisted Living & Memory Care in Crystal Lake.
He was born October 17, 1927 in Framingham, Massachusetts, the son of Joseph and Louise (Perras) Mailhiot. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served in WWII. He was united in marriage to Leona Biel on February 21, 1979 in Las Vegas. Ed worked as a grounds foreman for Eden Memorial Cemetery in Schiller park for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane (Dennis) Oltz of Cary, his grandson, Justin Oltz of Lake in the Hills, his granddaughter, Heather (John ) Clark of Winfield, great-grandson, Cooper Clark, his brothers, Leo Mailhiot, Joe (Dot) Mailhiot, his sisters, Dora Ward, Yvonne Bent, Louise Conner and his sister-in-law, Yvonne Mailhiot. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona, two brothers, and three sisters.
