Maria D. Ehardt, 52 of Streamwood, passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2016, while vacationing in California.
She was born November 20, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Virginia (Patuszynski) Ciezki. She graduated from Niles West High School and in 1985 the St. Francis School of Nursing. Maria had worked as a nurse for a number of area hospitals and for the last ten to fifteen years worked for Lundbeck in the pharmaceutical industry. She especially enjoyed her dogs, animals, bowling and traveling.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Ray) Kyi of Elgin, her son, Sean Kane of Streamwood, her grandchildren, Quinn and Leilan, her parents, Robert & Virginia Ciezki of Huntley, her brother-in-law, Gary Horan, her nephews, Zachary and Adam Horan and her companion, Mike Schamrowski of Streamwood. She was preceded in death by her sister, Bobbie Horan.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at 12:00 noon, followed by a 1:00 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 21st at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be later in St. Mary Cemetery, Huntley. I have known Maria for about 3 years, and I am so saddened by the sudden lose. To her family, please know how kind, loving, and compassionate she was to me and everyone around her. When she knew my mom was going through health issues, she always asked, Hows your mom in the sweetest way. She touched my heart, I will never forget her. I know her spirit will live on through her memory. May God bless us all as we grieve the lose of a great friend, mother, daughter, and sister.

I was in complete denial that this has happened to such a great woman. U r loved and missed very much and I just cant believe this is real and has happened. I dont think I can get over this for some time. I feel so hurt for the whole family. RIP Maria u r missed.
