Terry Lane Adler, of Huntley, passed away on Friday December 23rd, 2016 surrounded by loving friends & family at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore.
The son of Melvin & Julia Adler, Terry was born on January 4th, 1955. Raised in the small, quiet town of New Sweden Maine, Terry later graduated from Caribou High School, and was employed by McCain Corporation and County Optical. Much of his younger years were spent at the local roller rink, where Terry loved to skate with friends.
In 2011 seeking to be closer to family, he moved to Huntley Illinois. A few of the activities he enjoyed were working on cars & car audio systems, fishing, tinkering with electronics, and spending time with friends & family.
Terry is survived by his loving family, Kevin (Holly) Adler & Terry J. (Alycia Lyons) Adler, Forrest & Austin Taggett, and Carrie Duso, his grandchildren Shawn, Caitlin, Ethan & Julia, along with his brother Tim (Judy) Adler & sister Nancy Sedillo. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A time to gather and share memories will be held Saturday January 14th from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm in Huntley at Pine Crest Golf Course Restaurant, 11220 Algonquin Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers an education fund will be started for Terry’s youngest children. Please make any donations to Kevin Adler for depositing purposes.

I am sorry for your loss. I worked with Terry at County Optical for a while and he was a good friend. I have many fond memories of Terry and his sense of humor, and the twinkle in his eyes he would sometimes get.
