Louise E. Donahue, 68 of Pingree Grove, passed away on Tuesday evening, January 10, 2017 at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence in Elk Grove Village.
She was born January 29, 1948 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the daughter of Fredrick and Mary (Maszk) Donahue. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks and following high school moved to Illinois. She lived in the Chicago area for many years and raised her family in Hampshire. Family was extremely important to Louise. She was a born again, Spirit filled Christian who loved Jesus Christ who did mission work both locally and in Uganda.
She is survived by her daughters, Marvett (Edward) Gearen IV of Hampshire, Karla (Michael) Murillo of St. Charles, her sons, Dustin (Teresa) Overson of Carpentersville, Brett (Emilia) Overson of Katy, Texas, her grandchildren, Karissa Gearen, Edward Gearen V, Jordan Murillo, Nikole (Max) Beecher, Alexis Kapatos, Breanna Kapatos, Brody Overson, Kylie Overson, Danielle Overson, Saige Overson and Ethan Overson, her great grandchildren, London and Benjamin Beecher, her brothers, Michael (Jill) Donahue of Pekin, North Dakota and James (Bonnie) Donahue of Mesa, Arizona and her sister, Jane (Wayne) Hoverson of Gilbert, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Thomas and Timothy Donahue and grandson, Tyler Overson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28th at Faith World Outreach Church, 1280 S. Rte. 59, Bartlett, IL 60103. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Appointed Harvest Ministries, 2722 E. Lake Road, Screven, Georgia 31560 for Promise Uganda Orphanage.
