Betty/Bess (Kwast) O’Connor, 93, of Huntley, died peacefully, January 15, 2017
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00pm with prayers and a time of sharing at 6:00pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00pm on Monday, January 30, 2017 with visitation preceding Mass from 12-1 at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Labre Indian Fund/ School-Ashland, MT 59004-1001.
Jane Elizabeth Wydra was born April 4, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter if Victor and Agatha Wydra. She married Carl Kwast on June 29, 1947. Betty was a devoted friend and co-worker during her time spent at Kraft Foods. She was a proud member of St. Mary’s Church and CHIRP. Her CHIRP sisters brought her much comfort, joy and she greatly appreciated all of their love and support during her illness. She was a Sun City Lion and a friend of the Huntley Library. She was a beautiful, sweet, kind, generous lady who took great pride in being the matriarch of her family
She is survived by her two sister-in-laws, dearest Joanna Wydra-close friend and Jean Wydra and by her sister of the heart, Patricia Bachara. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Carlene and Leonard Lutz, Myron (Marlene) Kwast, Marysia(Norm) Hartz, Martin and Eric Wydra; and by her Goddaughter, Victoria Bachara and her and by special friends, Genevieve and Don Rainey, Claire Hall, Susan and Gary Koeller, Charlene and Glen Carlson, Antoinette and John Padula, Linda and Bob Fisher. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl and her brothers, John, Victor and Eugene.
